Intro Stage
The Intro Stage is the most important stage of the diet. In the next 4-7 days you will eat foods that are easy to digest and will allow your gut to begin healing. Sometimes it can take a little longer than 4-7 days and it is worth persisting until you feel comfortable introducing new foods.
Intro Stage Cooking Schedule
Okay, you are psyched up and ready to go. My suggestion is to begin with preparation on a weekend when you have time to dedicate yourself to cooking. Begin on a Satur- day, so that on Monday you are raring to go.
Shopping List Some things we will cook in the Intro Stage will last for the first and second week of cooking. So, the second week when you transition into the Stage 1 you will have less to do. Those foods are:
Chicken Broth Chicken Soup
Sour Gummies Banana Ice Cream Mayonnaise
The shopping list is for the fresh ingredients you will need. Make sure you have the Essential Pantry items as listed on the Essentials list.
Pantry Essentials • 4 sticks of celery
• 1 bunch parsley
• 20 medium carrots
• 2 cloves garlic
• 1 large piece of fresh turmeric (if possible, otherwise use ground)
• 1 medium brown onion
• 13 bananas (ripe with brown spots)
• 2 chicken carcasses
• 4 chicken wings
• 2 fish fillets (freeze when you get home)
• 500 g/1 lb ground beef
• 500 g/1 lb ground chicken
• 6 chicken thigh fillets
• Bay Leaves
• Thyme
• Sea Salt
• Black Pepper Corns
• Ground Turmeric
• Cloves
• Powdered Grass Fed Gelatin
• Honey
• Grapeseed Oil or Vegetable Oil
• Coconut Oil or Olive Oil
• Vanilla Essence
• Apple Cider Vinegar

• 2 doz large eggs
• 2 liters/4 pints full cream milk or coconut cream (100% pure)
• SCD yogurt starter or 1 small greek yogurt (natural, no additives)
• 2 ltr/2pints pure grape juice

Cooking Schedule Saturday
• Start with making 2 litres/4 pints of yogurt first thing in the morning.
• Make the gelatin and the sour gummies.
• Make the chicken broth.
• Make the beef burgers and freeze portions that you won’t eat within 3 days.
• Make the chicken burgers and freeze portions that you won’t eat within 3 days.
Sunday
• Refrigerate the yogurt first thing in the morning.
• Make the chicken soup and freeze portions that you won’t eat within 3 days.
• After 6 hours of refrigeration take 1 liter/2 pints of yogurt and drip for 4-6 hours.
• Make the soufflé buns and store in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
• Make Banana Meringue and store in the refrigerator.
All of the above take a very short time to make, not taking yogurt and broth cooking time into account. Nevertheless, it won’t take more than a couple of hours each morn- ing and you will be set for the rest of the week.
